Instances are manifestations of classes. The semantic property 'HasClass' points to the class of that instance. You must specify the class that the current resource is an instance of.

Defining the class of the current instance

An instance called 'Lithium-ion battery' should therefore have a HasClass property with the value 'Battery'. The HasClass property is exported as rdf:type. Instances can also have properties with certain values. The user can choose from a list of properties that are defined in the wiki and specify a value for them. The values can either be other resources, such as instances or classes, or they can be data values.
