What is a lap of Circuit Bremgarten like?

A road circuit through the Bremgarten forest on the edge of Bern, built in 1931 for motorcycle racing; it had no true main straight, only a series of fast corners on tree-lined roads, and poor light and changing road surfaces made it very dangerous, especially in the wet. It hosted the Swiss Grand Prix as a World Championship round every year from 1950 to 1954, the last won by Juan Manuel Fangio for Mercedes; Achille Varzi and the motorcycle racer Omobono Tenni, after whom the Tenni curve is named, had both been killed there in 1948. Formula 1 stopped going there after the 1955 Le Mans disaster led Switzerland to ban circuit racing: the 1955 Swiss Grand Prix was cancelled, and attempts to lift the ban failed in 2007-2009. Most of the track has since been built over or reduced to a forest cycle path; the start/finish area and the Forsthaus corner now lie in an industrial zone, while the right-hand Eymatt and Tenni curves and the straight after them survive almost unchanged.

Where the winner started, every race at this circuit. Pole sitter means the driver who set the fastest qualifying time (first on the grid where no qualifying data exists); a grid penalty can move the pole sitter back, and that race still counts for them. Compare every circuit.
