Alcohol-based fuel blends were banned; cars had to run on 130-octane aviation petrol. Source

Refuelling banned; 220-litre fuel limit

Mid-race refuelling, used by Brabham in 1982–83, was banned and race fuel limited to 220 litres, starting the fuel-economy era of the turbo years. Source
