What is a lap of Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit like?

A street circuit on public roads plus a purpose-built section that houses the pit lane, paddock and opening corners; at 6.201 km it was the second-longest lap on the 2025 calendar, shorter only than Spa-Francorchamps. The lap is dominated by the 1.9 km flat-out section between Turns 12 and 14, which runs down Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip) and where cars pass 350 km/h; the second DRS zone sits on this run and the first on Koval Lane after Turn 4. The section around the Sphere is the slow, technical part of the lap: drivers accelerate through the long left-hander of Turn 6 and brake hard for the Turn 7-8 left-right chicane; Turn 12, a slow left-hander, launches the cars onto the Strip. The race is held at night in November, and the cool conditions make building and keeping tyre temperature a key challenge alongside the low-downforce set-up the long straights demand.
